Salary: $16,068.80 to $17,661.60 Annually

Job Description: Will be primary front desk work in a medical office setting in different county offices; duties include answering multi-line switchboard, taking messages; receiving visitors; making and keeping records of appointments, maintaining routine files, and data entry. Assisting in additional counties may be required.
Education: Requires High School diploma or GED. Prefer High School diploma or GED supplemented by continuing education in office management, computer skills, typing, etc.
Experience: Prefer relevant experience in secretarial/office work. Must have the ability to present to and communicate with the public and staff in a professional manner. Must be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently; must have basic computer skills, be proficient in Word and Microsoft Office, or have the ability to learn software quickly. Must have good communication skills; both written and verbal. Must have the ability to operate typical office technology, i.e., fax machine, copier, etc. Must be able to self-initiate, as well as take direction.
Hours of Work: 8am--5pm, Monday through Friday
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Texas driver’s license, reliable transportation and good driving record, and must be insurable by Agency insurance.
Physical Requirements: The ability to sit for long periods of time; to life less than 50lbs., to use a computer, typewriter and calculator; to communicate effectively; simple grasping and fine manipulation is required, ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position.
