 Job Description: This position serves as Team Leader for designated mental health team. Staff member will provide first line supervision to Routine and Rehab Recovery Facilitators within the team. Staff member will also oversee daily operations of case management and crisis services within the team, including delegating tasks to team members. Staff member will be responsible for ensuring clients are served efficiently, utilizing policies and procedures as written for the unit. The position provides diagnostician services and determines if individuals meet HHS definition of priority population. Position thus serves as the “front-door” for deciding eligibility for ongoing MH services, prescribing level of need and prescribing necessary treatment modalities. Additionally, this position provides cognitive behavioral therapy to individuals meeting criteria for these services.
Education: Master’s Degree and licensed as LPHA or LPC-Intern.
Experience: Should have considerable experience, knowledge and training in the area of assessment and crisis intervention and should have experience working with adults and/or children in crisis situations as well as experience with coordinating services with social services agencies.
Hours of Work: Generally Monday—Friday 8am—5pm, adjustment in work hours may be warranted to meet the needs of the program.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Texas driver’s license & must be insurable by Agency’s insurance; Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA) certification as well as Illness, Management and Recovery certification.
Physical Requirements: Light lifting under 15lbs., moderate carrying 15-44lbs., simple grasping, walking, sitting, standing, operating motor vehicle, operating office equipment, ability to see and hear (with aid), ability to read, write and count, ability to maintain confidentiality, and the ability to work closely well others; ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position.
