MENTAL HEALTH The
center assists adults with severe and persistent mental illness and children or
adolescents with a diagnosis of mental illness who exhibit serious emotional,
behavioral, or mental disorders in their efforts to access community-based
services available from a range of providers, including the center itself. Based
on the individual’s assessed needs and desires, the services accessed may
include: ·
Crisis
Services including, but not limited to, Crisis Hotline and Screening and Triage
activities to assess danger to self or others ·
Medication
Related Services including pharmacological management, medication
administration, and monitoring of prescribed psychoactive medications ·
Residential
services structured to provide viable alternatives to institutional living,
while promoting self-determination and personal independence ·
Skills
training services including, but not limited to, employment acquisition and
maintenance skills, financial management skills, communication skills,
interpersonal behaviors, and other skills that will facilitate integration into
the community In
addition to the center’s responsibility to assist the individual in
identifying, locating and obtaining the desired supports and services, the
center is also charged with coordinating and monitoring the delivery of these
supports and services. For
