Job Description: Actively support the caregivers of a child in MH services through advocacy, mentoring, role modeling and serving as support group facilitator. May also provide parenting skills training to caregivers according to guidelines and may also assist in navigating of child serving systems including mental health, education, juvenile justice, social security disability, and child protective services. Position requires local travel to 7-county region.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Preferred Certified Family Partner
Hours of Work: Monday—Friday 8am—5pm; hours may vary
Licensure/Certifications: Valid Texas driver’s license and must be insurable by Agency insurance, must obtain and maintain Family Partner Certification.
Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally & written, good computer skills are a must; ability to lift/carry under 30lbs; ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position.
