Job Description: Position responsible for providing customer service to Emergency Services, Screening, Intake and Referral (ESIR) department. Position also provides administrative support services to ESIR Department in Brazos County. Support services involve typing letters, memos and reports; answering phones and providing excellent customer service; filing; data entry; making and keeping records of appointments; maintenance of unit supplies; completing purchase orders, reservations, and travel requests; transporting of charts; collecting travel vouchers and timesheets. The applicant must have excellent team participation, organization, and time management skills.
Education: Requires High School diploma or GED. Prefer High School diploma or GED supplemented by continuing education in office management, computer skills, typing, etc.
Experience: Prefer relevant experience in secretarial/office work. Must have the ability to present to and communicate with the public and staff in a professional manner. Must be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Must have basic computer skills, be proficient in Word and Microsoft Office, or have the ability to learn software quickly. Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have the ability to operate typical office technology, i.e., fax machine, copier, etc. Must be able to self-initiate, as well as take direction.
Hours of Work: 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday
Licenses/Certifications: Must have reliable transportation and a good driving record. Valid Texas driver's license and must be insurable by Agency insurance.
Physical Requirements: The ability to sit for long periods of time; to lift less than 50 pounds; to use a computer, typewriter and calculator; to communicate effectively; simple grasping and fine manipulation is required; ability to drive a car.
