 Job Description: This position serves as Team Leader for designated mental health team. Staff member will provide first line supervision to Routine and Rehab Recovery Facilitators within the team, including Adult and Child and Adolescent Services. Staff member will also oversee daily operations of case management and crisis services within the team, including delegating tasks to team members. Staff member will be responsible for ensuring clients are served efficiently utilizing policies and procedures as written for the unit. This position provides diagnostician services and determines if individuals meet DSHS definition of priority population. This position thus serves as the “front-door” for deciding eligibility for ongoing mental health services, prescribing level of need and prescribing necessary treatment modalities. Additionally, this position provides cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive processing therapy to individuals meeting criteria for these services.
Education: Master’s Degree and licensed as LPHA
Experience: Should have considerable experience, knowledge and training in the area of assessment and crisis intervention and should have experience working with adults and/or children in crisis situations as well as experience with coordinating services with social services agencies.
Hours of Work: Generally Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm, adjustment in work hours may be warranted to meet the needs of the program.
Licenses/Certifications: Required LPC or LCSW certification. Must have reliable transportation and a good driving record, valid Texas driver’s license and must be insurable by Agency insurance.
Physical Requirements: Light lifting under 15lbs., moderate carrying 15-44lbs., simple grasping, walking, sitting, standing, operating a motor vehicle, operating office equipment, ability to see and hear (with aid), ability to read, write, count, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to work closely with others; and the ability to pass the Preventative Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) Training as well as all other physical requirements for this position.
